Questions students ask
- Where do these internships come from?
- From employers' own career pages and applicant systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. Matatah re-reads those pages, so closed postings drop out instead of lingering as reposts.
- How does Matatah help me find an internship?
- Upload your résumé and say what you're looking for. Matatah matches internships to it and writes a short brief for each one: what fits, what's missing or unclear, and what to check. It can tailor your résumé for the posting and fill in the application; by default nothing is sent until you approve it.
- Is it free for students?
- Yes. The Free plan needs no card and includes 25 applications every 30 days. Sign up with a school email (for example .edu or .ac.uk) and your first 30 days are on the Pro plan for free.
- I'm an international student. Can I see which employers have sponsored visas?
- If you say you need sponsorship, each employer shows its past H-1B and green card (PERM) filings from the US Department of Labor, plus what the posting itself says. Past filings are history, not a promise for a specific internship.
- Can I find summer internships and co-ops?
- Yes. Internships, co-ops and apprenticeships are all included. When you set up your profile you can say which kind and which locations you want, and the matches follow that.
- Do I need a referral?
- No, but it helps. For each posting, Matatah lists who to reach first: alumni from your school on that team, then the team in that city and the recruiter, with a drafted note. It never messages anyone for you.
