Why I built Matatah

I was spending close to an hour on each application before I knew whether the job even fitted me. Before filling in another form, I wanted two things: proof the job was still open, and a plain reason it fitted.
So Matatah starts at the source. It reads employers' own career pages, checks each job against your résumé, and writes a short brief: what matches, what's missing or unclear, and where the job is posted.
It can fill in the forms for you, and by default it never sends anything you haven't seen. Auto-submit stays off unless you turn it on, and every application is tracked from there.
No match percentages and no interview odds. Just the reasons, so you can decide.

It compares your résumé and preferences with each posting's requirements and writes a short brief: what matches, what's missing or unclear, and what to check. Fit is said in words (Strong, Good, Partial), never as a percentage or a promise of an interview.

Yes. Matatah writes a résumé tailored to the job before you review it, shows how many of the posting's requirements it covers, and lets you edit any line or add a skill you have. Every changed line shows where it came from in your own résumé.
Not unless you choose to. By default, Bot Apply fills the form, stops to ask anything it can't answer from your profile, and waits for your OK before anything is sent. If you turn on Auto-submit in Settings, it sends applications on its own; you can turn it off at any time. It never solves CAPTCHAs, and you can always open the employer's form yourself.
Only if you say you need sponsorship: the employer's past H-1B and green card (PERM) filings from the US Department of Labor, and what the posting itself says. Past filings are history, not a promise for a role. If you don't need sponsorship, none of this is shown.
Only applications that are actually sent, or that you mark as applied yourself. Drafts, skipped jobs and applications that fail or need you don't count. Free includes 25 every 30 days, Starter 600 and Pro 1,500.
For each job, Matatah lists who to reach first: alumni from your school on that team, then alumni at the company, the team in the job's city, the recruiter and the team lead. Each opens a LinkedIn search in your own browser with a drafted note. Matatah never messages anyone for you.
