How Matatah works

Matatah finds jobs that fit you, tailors your résumé and cover letter for each one, and autofills the application — so you spend minutes per role instead of an hour. You always review and press Submit yourself.

Quick start

    Complete your profile
    Add your target roles, location, salary range, skills, and upload your résumé. This is what every match is scored against.

    Run your first scan
    Hit “Find new jobs” on the Matches page. Matatah searches company career pages and returns your best-fit roles.
  3. 3
    Review your matches
    Each job is scored 0–5 for fit and sorted into Recommended / Strong / Maybe buckets.
  4. 4
    Tailor & apply
    Generate a tailored résumé + cover letter for a match, then use the Chrome extension to autofill the application.
  5. 5
    Track your pipeline
    Move applications through Applied → Interview → Offer as you progress.

What a “scan” is

A scan searches company career pages for roles matching your profile and returns up to 10 fresh matches, each scored 0–5 for fit. From any match you can generate a tailored résumé + cover letter and autofill the application form. One scan = one complete run of that pipeline.

Your plan sets how many scans you get per day. Run out? They reset every morning — or grab extra scans for $5 each (below).

Tailored résumés & cover letters

For each job, Matatah rewrites your résumé to surface the skills and keywords that match the posting, and drafts a cover letter grounded in your real experience — never fabricated. Both download as clean, ATS-friendly PDFs. You can regenerate either at any time.

Chrome autofill extension

The extension detects Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby forms and fills every field — personal info, work history, education, EEOC questions, and custom essays — in one click. You review everything and press Submit. See the Workday autofill guide for a deep dive.

Plans & scans

Every scan returns up to 10 matches and includes a tailored résumé, cover letter, and Chrome autofill. Plans differ in how many scans and tailored applications you get per day.

FAQ

I’m out of scans for today — what can I do?
They reset every morning. You can also upgrade for a higher daily limit, or buy extra scans for $5 each in Settings → Billing.
Does Matatah submit applications for me?
No. It finds matches, tailors your documents, and fills the form — but you review everything and press Submit yourself. That final review is what keeps applications high-quality.
Can I use my own AI key?
Bring-your-own-key is currently limited to admin accounts. On regular plans, the AI is included in your subscription — you don’t need to add a key.
How is my data handled?
Your profile, résumé, and applications are stored securely and never shared. See the privacy policy.
My profile looks empty after uploading my résumé.
Click “Extract from Résumé” on your profile page — the AI parses your résumé and fills in your fields automatically.
